JM ate the BBQ bacon burger with a soda.
Nichole ate Tauscher's blackened chicken pasta with a soda.
The bill was $25, or $12ish/person, plus tip.
JM gave Geier's Grill a C-; Nichole gave Geier's Grill a C+ (see our grading rubric).
Geier's Grill serves dinner and breakfast in the Holiday Inn at American Center. (Why is there never lunch for that poor office park?) The service was good and the place was clean, with individual TVs for every table.
Nichole went with Tauscher's pasta - vegetables in a tomato cream sauce over noodles. The chicken was so juicy it was a little on the scary side. The salad was also questionable, but pretty.
JM's BBQ bacon burger was obvious - no surprises. The bacon and cheese were OK, the bun was standard. The patty was on the very rare side of medium rare, though the fries were super crispy.
In the world of hotel restaurants, Geier's is really no worse than most we've been to. Truly, this part of the city could use a couple more spots that garner interest, and not just automatic restos in hotels with little more to recommend them than proximity to your bed.
