JM and Nichole ate some soup and sandwiches, coffee, a scone, and an Oreo ice cream sandwich.
The bill was $20, or $10/person, plus tip.
JM gave Cheesers a B+; Nichole gave Cheesers a B (see our grading rubric).
Cheesers is cute. It's a cheese and gift shop on Stoughton's Main Street, sharing a building with a yarn & art boutique and a bead store.
We squeaked by just before they discontinued lunch service for the forseeable future due to the challenges of rising food & labor costs. So while our soups and sandwiches were truly delicious, they are no longer available (or at least weren't at the time of this writing, check your local listings). We try not to do the whole "look what I ate that you can't ever have" food writing thing, so we'll leave our report at that.
Many excellent cheeses are available in the deli case at Cheesers, from Norwegian gjetost to Pleasant Ridge Reserve and True Bleu, plus fresh lefse on Wednesdays, hot coffee in dainty china, scones and bakery items, and Babcock Hall ice cream in cone, dish, and handmade cookie sandwich form. It's worth checking out just for that.
