Carroll Street Cafe

Carroll Street CafeUpdate 10/1/13: Carroll Street Cafe is closed.

In a word: I hear the food service is good at Stout.

The specs: #00809
211 N. Carroll St., 53703

JM ate the pizza & nachos with a Squirt.
Nichole ate the chef salad with a cherry Coke Zero.
We split a sausage & cheese tray.
The bill was about $8/person, plus tip.
JM gave Carroll Street Cafe a C; Nichole gave Carroll Street Cafe a C+ (see our grading rubric).

This one got on our radar thanks to our vigilant buddy B., who keeps thorough tabs on Madison restaurants. Carroll Street Cafe is the name of the cafeteria in the downtown Madison College building.

It's got Steep & Brew coffee, Gotham bagels, Silly Yak GF bakery items, and some soups/salads/sides in addition to hot sandwiches and pizza by the slice. You don't need to be an MATC student to eat there, but it's unlikely you would unless you were. And even then, unlikely.
