Latest Arby's news and reviews
JM ate 2 regular roast beef sandwiches.
Nichole ate 1 big roast beef sandwich.
We split some curly fries.
The bill was $10, or $5/person, plus tip.
JM gave Arby's a B-; Nichole gave Arby's a C (see our grading rubric).
Arby's bills itself as "Good Mood Food." This is as if to say, "We know that people only come here for Prozac-like calorie rushes, not quality meals." And that about sums it up.
Beef and Cheddar sandwiches have long been a staple of JM's fast food rota and curly fries only serve to bolster that offering. This trip, though, we stuck to roast beef sandwiches as a way to sop up some Arby's Sauce and Horsey Sauce. Yum Yum!
Of course, we've been going to Arby's our whole lives. JM's first was at Oakwood Mall in Eau Claire and Nichole has vivid memories of an elementary school sleepover that involved her learning about relative wealth in a very embarrassing way.
Later, JM's friend John would comment about the giant hat logo they would view as they passed out of St. Paul to the east on 94: "Every time I see that sign, I think of Arby's." Maybe that is the best summary of all: nothing reminds us so much of Arby's as Arby's.
Thank you for the mention!
