"H" is for Hurry
Sometimes it feels as though we're running through restaurants to try to get ahead, but really the hurry is often accompanied by the thought that if we're gonna spend the money going out, we might as well knock another one off the list. We finished the H's in just under two months, from February 1 to March 29. We kept giving the same old grades - mostly A's and B's.

Our favorite H's were:
Breakfast: Hubbard Avenue Diner
Lunch: Houlihan's
Dinner: Harvest
The H's included a lot of Madison institutions, but also a lot of surprises as well. We got to eat with a former mayor and with a lot of close friends. We ate a lot of lunches in Middleton on Sundays (cf. Hody Bar, Houlihan's, Hubbard) and learned that etiquette may not be taught but is still practiced in high-end chow houses. We also learned just how tacky Hooters was. And we all learned a valuable lesson about sharing.
At this point we're starting to feel like Orko, so off to the A through G make-up list. This time it consists entirely of new chains, restaurants not technically in Madison, and Mexican/Central American joints. We'll also pass the 250-restaurant mark soon, so stay tuned.
