Latest Frida news and reviews

Wherefore this kind of restaurant?  JM found his meal average and left a little hungry and not even sated.  Why he would pay extra to get this not-quite Mexican, not-quite cuisine is beyond him. He didn't not like it; he just feels like he's on the losing end of the cost-benefit ratio for this type of food.

The customary salsa was not quite making it, and the chips seemed to have been made from white flour tortillas. Very Wonder-bready.

This was the first time Nichole had eaten a fish taco. It was yummy, but how could fried halibut in a warm flour tortilla not be? She'll reserve judgment until she has something to compare it to.

Frida's might be a better nightclub than restaurant (it's sure dark enough). Let us know if that's the case, eh?

If you can do without the downtown nice-interior atmosphere, Mi Cocina out on University Ave closer to Middleton absolutely destroys this place, for a bunch cheaper.

I just ate here for the first time this weekend. The salsa did leave something to be desired, my boyfriend ordered the "diablo salsa" which was supposed to be the hottest. He wasn't impressed at all and even with my medium tolerence it seemed just spicy. We had the bbq burrito and black bean burrito and they were good. My only complaint is that insides of my burrito were not layered, but ALL of the onions on one side, avocado in the middle, and ALL of the black beans on the other side. That made for pretty uneven bites. Other than that I would say this is at least on par with Pedros.

The only time I've ever eaten at Frida's I got sevre food poisoning. I will never eat there again, 3 of my friends felt very ill after as well. That's not the first case of food poisoning Frida's has caused.. I have heard they are very un-sanitary..

Not a fan of Frida's either - NEVER feel good after I eat there. I will no more!

Horrible. This is the undergrad place to drink and eat microwaved canned meat and beans.
