Cafe Mariah

update: Cafe Mariah is closed.

In a word: Median Madison.

The specs: #0058
JM ate the BLT wrap with a lemonade.
Nichole ate the Mariah portabella with coffee.
Sue ate the Mariah chicken with coffee.
We split two orders of fries, which was more than enough.
JM and Nichole both gave Cafe Mariah a B+; Sue gave Cafe Mariah a B (see our grading rubric).

Latest Cafe Mariah news and reviews

Delightfully drippy sandwiches on sturdy bread, curly seasoned fries, and the Mariah theme (spinach, cheese, and tomato-based spread) are the high points of Cafe Mariah. However, JM's had maybe one too many of these little diners with sandwiches. In fact in most respects, the cafe is middle-of-the-road Madison fare, but nothing spectacular. The coffee was tired after a long day in an air pot and did nothing to perk us up.

We didn't get a chance to try anything from the bakery case, which offered a wide array of appealing goodies. Cafe Mariah hosts lots of events, though, so check it out if you're in the area.
