Latest Basie's news and reviews
David ate the chicken quesadilla.
JM ate the chicken sandwich (his default dish) with fries.
John ate the chicken/chef (?) salad and iced tea.
Nichole ate the Wisconsin three-cheese melt and a fruit cup with a Coke.
JM and John gave Basie's a B; David and Nichole gave Basie's a B+ (see our grading rubric).
It was our moving day, and the dim, jazz-themed restaurant was a welcome refresher. Our host was very nice to us four sweaty, casually-dressed youngsters that invaded their otherwise empty restaurant, and the food was more than decent. The table's consensus was that it wasn't necessarily worth a separate trip but if you're at the Radisson and aren't up for an excursion into Madison, it could be a good bet. We didn't try their lauded specialties or breakfast buffet, which could make a big difference.
We may have had more interesting things to say about Basie's, but this is the point at which the notebook was lost. (Did we mention we lost our notebook?)
