Chang Jiang

In a word: Chang Jiang chain...

The specs: #0071
Address, hours & details via Isthmus; reviews at Madison Date Night, 77 Square, Chang Jiang on Urbanspoon

JM, John, and Nichole shared the sweet and sour shrimp and the seafood delight, with veggie egg rolls and crab rangoon.
The bill was $28, or $9.33/person, plus tip.
JM gave Chang Jiang an A- ; Nichole and John gave Chang Jiang a B (see our grading rubric).

JM called Chang Jiang one of the best takeaway Chinese places he's tried. We figure fry medium here could be called fry above average.

The sweet and sour shrimp were large and the batter delicious.  They did, like most takeaway places, give us enough sweet and sour sauce to drown a smallish rodent, not that we did.  It's one of the few times we prefer packets because even now weeks later the lonely half full tub of sauce looks out at us and says "Use me." To which we say: "On what?"

Nichole likes crab rangoon too much to be embarrassed at its total lack of authenticity, and these were definitely worth it. The seafood delight over noodles was well done.

Oh, and the ambiance was great, if not yet fully paid for.

Eh... they're food is decent maybe a C-
But if you notice all of their locations are in the same mini mall as a vet clinic. Creepy
